Bath Antiques Shows
|
Now in its 15th season, The Bath Antiques Shows are held once
a month from November through April at the Bath (Maine) Middle School
and feature around 60 New England dealers. The first show of the
season, held this year on November 7, had a special buzz and positive
energy.

Patricia Ann Breame of Woodstock, Maine offered a carved
bird, a basket, a game board at $550 and a small carved robin
at $139.

Robert Foley of Gray, Maine offered an early
cupboard at $850, a chair table at $1,850 & a cheese tray
at $650.

Charles and Barbara Drew of Portland, Maine had on display
an early oil on canvas portrait of a gentleman for $625.

Albert& ¥alerie Barrows of Highfields Antiques,
St. Albans, Maine showed a game wheel found in a barn in Skowhegan,
Maine, offered for sale at $695.

The Concord Antiques Show
The Concord Antiques Show, sponsored by the Trinitarian Congregational
Church, was held Friday, November 5, and Saturday, November 6
at the Congregational Church on Walden Street in Concord.
The show featured 45 exhibitors bringing a broad variety of quality
antiques. The show benefits the Greater Boston Area and local
outreach programs

Jane & Edwin Carr of Country Antiques, Gorham, Maine
graced the front entrance to the show with a State of Maine
grain painted drop leaf table at $1,095, a pair of decorated
country chairs at $350 and a diorama at $600.

John Rogers of Elkins, New Hampshire offered an assortment
of early wooden ware.
|

Barbara & John Gentiluomo of Candleglow, Holliston,
Massachusetts
offered a three-tiered birch server from Vermont, c. 1800.

The Country Folk Art Festival
The Country Folk Art Festival was held October 29 and 30, 2004
at the Royal Plaza Trade Center in Marlborough, Massachusetts.
The show featured over 100 artisans who make reproductions of
American antiques, contemporary folk art done in a traditional
manner or country crafts that are unique and one-of-a-kind.

Alex Pifer of The Seraph, Sturbridge, Massachusetts was
a guest artist and provided interior design consultations to
show to visitors. Alex demonstrated the art of transforming
a current kitchen into one that had been created 200 years ago.

Sharon Trenoweth of Peterborough, New Hampshire reproduces
New England folk art paintings.
